Apply to Old Scona Academic School

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year will open on January 10, 2025. The application deadline is 4:00 PM on January 31, 2025.

How to Apply:

Admission to Old Scona Academic (OSA) School is by application only. To apply, students must:

Complete the electronic application form by January 31, 2025 (4:00 PM). Submission of this form will trigger the release of the School Recommendation form to the student's designated administrator. We do not accept paper applications.
School Recommendation Form: The school administrator submits the completed School Recommendation form and the student's most recent progress/interim reports for Grade 9 core subjects (English 9, Math 9, Science 9, and Social Studies 9) by 4:00 PM on January 31, 2025. For Grade 10 applicants, current Grade 10 marks will also be required.
Division Registration Form: If not currently enrolled in Edmonton Public Schools, submit the Division Registration Form by 11:59 PM on February 6, 2025.
Entrance Exam: Take the entrance exam on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Important:

As long as the application form and School Recommendation form are received by January 31, 2025, all applicants will be sent a final form by February 1, 2025 to sign up for the entrance exam taking place on February 8, 2025.

Virtual Open House – January 16, 2025

We invite all students, families, and community members to join us for our Virtual Open House on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This informal event is designed to give you the opportunity to meet with our staff, ask questions, and learn more about different programs and areas at our school.

Instead of a formal presentation, we are offering several virtual breakout rooms where staff members will be available to talk informally and answer questions. You can visit any of these rooms based on your interests. There is no need to stay for the entire event—feel free to join and leave any room at any time!

How it works:

Before the event: Take a look at our interactive map. The map shows our school’s layout and features 8 clickable areas, each corresponding to a different topic or staff member (e.g., Options, English, IB Coordinator, Athletics, etc.).
During the event: Click on the area you’re interested in, and you will be taken directly to that breakout room. Each staff member will be there to answer your questions and discuss their area of expertise in an informal setting.
