Programs of Study
Old Scona Academic offers students two programs for study – the Alberta High School Diploma Program and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. Students taking the Alberta High School Diploma Program follow the Alberta Education curriculum. Successful completion of this program leads to the Alberta High School Diploma and provides entry to Canadian and American universities.
Students taking the IB Diploma Program follow the Alberta High School Diploma Program with appropriate acceleration and extension to fulfill the curriculum determined by the International Baccalaureate Organization. Successful completion of the full IB program leads to an IB Certificate stating the specific IB courses completed. Students will also receive the Alberta High School Diploma.
