Address
10523 - 84 Avenue NW Edmonton, AB T6E 2H5 One of the most convenient things about Old Scona is its location. Located in the heart of Old Strathcona, the school is easily accessible by bus, car, and even bike. Below is a map of the surroundings of Old Scona. We're located just off Whyte Avenue at 105th Street.

Transportation
By Car
Old Scona is fairly easy to find by car. When driving, be careful to obey the one-way streets in the area as these were installed by the city to reduce traffic through the residential sidestreets of Old Strathcona.
Take 109th street southbound and onto the High Level Bridge. Proceed south until you reach Whyte Avenue, take a left turn onto Whyte and turn left again at 105th Street, at the Chapters bookstore. Proceed down a block and Old Scona is on your left hand side.
Take Whitemud Drive down onto Fox Drive, turn left at Belgravia Road, and follow down the road past 114th street onto 72nd Avenue. Take a left turn at 109th Street northbound, and proceed north until reaching Whyte Avenue, take a right, then follow to the Chapters at 105th street, turn left and Old Scona is down a block on the left.
Take 111th Street north and follow onto 109th street, turn right onto Whyte Avenue, turn left at 105th street and proceed north and Old Scona is on the left. You can also take Gateway Boulevard (formerly Calgary Trail North) to Whyte Avenue and turning left to 105th Street.
By Edmonton Transit
Edmonton Transit offers three routes that travel on Whyte Avenue. Despite its central location, commuting to school by bus does not take too long, even from the suburbs. There are a variety of express bus routes to reduce travel times. Old Scona does not have any 'school special' services available at this time. The links below will take you to the route schedule for the particular route. For all ETS schedules, click here or call Transit Information (780) 496-1611 or BusLink (24-hour automated information) at (780) 496-1600.
The best way to get to Old Scona from the Northeast and Downtown is by taking Light Rail Transit (LRT)
-Take a local feeder bus to the nearest LRT station and take the LRT to University Station and transfer to route 4 (Capilano), 6 (Downtown), or 106 (Capilano). Get off at the stop located at 105th street and Whyte Avenue and walk a block north to the school.
Take a feeder bus to Southgate Transit Centre and transfer to an express bus -- 17 (Downtown), 40 (Downtown), 41 (Downtown), 42 (Downtown), 45 (Downtown), or 50 (Downtown). These buses will travel non-stop to Whyte Avenue/109th street. Alternatively, you can take a route 9 (Northgate); however, it will not provide express service. Get off at the stop at Whyte Avenue and 109th street and either take a three block walk to the school or wait at an eastbound bus stop on Whyte for a route 4, 6, or 106.
If you live in the extreme west end (Callingwood/Lessard), your best bet is to take an express route 104 (Downtown) or 105 (Downtown). These will take you non-stop to the Whyte Avenue/109th street stop where you can walk or take a feeder bus to OSA (4,6,106).
If you are unable to catch a 104/105, you can take a feeder bus to the West Edmonton Mall terminal and take the 106 (University/Capilano) or the 4 (University/Capilano). Of these two, the 106 is a better choice as it is faster than the route 4. These will take you to the stop a block from the school.
